The Pit is Lit

Postby GRailsback » Mon Oct 29, 2018 5:19 am

Needed some BBQ to take with me to the races this coming weekend. So pulled out a pork butt, and a brisket. Will take the pulled pork with me and eat the brisket here. It will be 1836 on the brisket, and Adkins BBQ rub on the pork butt.

The ruffin it days at the track are over Parts. Will be some nice pulled pork sammys coming out of the crock pot this weekend. Along with some nice brats, and some nice burgers. And lots of cold beer. Leaving on Thurday from here and leaving the track Monday morning. Be 3 races this weekend Parts, the fall race at Ft Worth is really good.

Bobcat, you are correct about the wait, but it is going to be a pretty day here to cook. And I have a few things to clean up on the pit also. It sits next to my drive way and the yard guys blow stuff all over and around it every 2 weeks. So over a few months time it gets pretty dirty.

Its a beautiful 75 here right now, not a cloud in the sky, pit is humming along at 250. Just about time for a cold one. Gearing up for Ft. Worth later this week.
