Every time I see the name Burnet I am reminded of the first time I called it "Burn-net" to a Local and instantly got the response - - "It's not Burn-net, it's Burn-it, durn-it" - - - we had a post about the Cook Off that's coming up the other day so maybe you could enlighten the Poster. That Johnson has a real nice view while it’s doing work! Nice looking pit.

We are really liking the pit. Chad build a good one. The sun sets straight behind through the oaks. When we bought the property it was crazy clogged with cedar. We had cedar eaters come in a blow them up. Found out we actually had lots of oaks. Sun sets through them so hence the Sunset Oaks. Chad did the design and added to smoker. Lots of turkeys a deer out here.

We used to live in Nix just West of Lampasas a little North of you so I can certainly relate to the Sunsets, Turkey and Deer. We even had a Fox and feral Cat that ate together. :laughing7:  I was also a member of a Hot Rod Club that was based in Burnet. Great Folks and Beautiful Country
