I love stuff off the egg. I think that water pan right under the meat is the key. Doesn't look like you had water in yours, just catching the drippings?? Nice BB's how ever you did them.

No water pan. The setup is a ceramic deflector, then a few pieces of ceramic, then the drip pan. The few small pieces of ceramic between the deflector and drip pan prevent bad smoke from the drippings ;)
