The ribs sucked. I'm getting tired of saying that. I must find a sugar free BBQ sauce. At least the stir fry green beans were good.

If I may ask, how did you fix them ? Couldn't you make your own BBQ sauce and just leave out the sugah ? Lots of substitutes that can take it's place if you look around and experiment.

I plan on doing just that oup. Over the weekend I plan on trying to make at least 2 diff kinds of BBQ sauce. I bet the ribs would have been great except for the mayo hot sauce and soy sauce concoction that we put on top. After almost 2 weeks on this diet I have learned that I can live off of broccoli priced cauliflower and blackened talipia.

Mayo and Soy doesn't compute with BBQ, in my brain but I know you can come up with a Diet agreeable homemade Sauce so keep the Faith - - - OH and congrats on your discipline - - - I could never do that

Re: Grilles country style ribs.
if you have a roaster with a lid..
you can use a lid-ed roaster, with a wire rack, at around 250°
it works the same as a slow cooker, just faster
when the CSRs get up to 160°
put them on a sheet pan
sauce them
and reverse sear them under the broiler until the sauce gets the color and texture you like
my roaster that came with my oven
and my electric roaster
both work great

Yo Justin, this Recipe don't look too shabby and, if honey is allowed it could be your sweetening agent or molassus, as mentioned. https://www.sugarfreemom.com/recipes/ho ... ugar-free/

Nope. No honey either. Looks like I will have to stay away from BBQ sauce for a while. I had the wife look at the diff sauces I was looking at and she said no to all of them. Oh well.
