Icy day pork butt!
I wasn't going to let the 11 degree temp this morning ruin our new year's dinner. Pulled pork, cabbage, black eyed peas and corn bread. Pork butt started this morning about 730 and came off about an hour ago. Outside temp was 25 when it finished. Brrrrrrr!!
Still ended up with some good grub! Butt rubbed with 1836 (my new fave) smoked at 275 with some white oak, then topped with Kentucky Bourbon sauce.
Presented on our fine China!

That looks Great Txdragon !
I myself LOVE this cold weather for smoking/grilling !
Maybe it's me, but the smell seems stronger when you hop outside and the cold air and smoke hits you in da face ?!?! :)

Thanks!
Maybe since cold air has a higher density, this helps intensify the smell?

Thanks! Our door is always open! May be a bit of a travel for ya though. Lol!

I did the math on it. 5 bucks every 6 weeks saves us 15 dollars a month on the water bill for less dishes washed. Jeepers, that dishwasher is expensive. Lol!

Thank you! It was most definitely a good start!

Thank ya, sir! Still too chilly to hang out and roast marshmallows after dinner though.

Thanks! Yum it was. I'm REALLY digging the 1836 rub. So far, it's very versatile.
