Helping the Helpers

More of a placeholder than anything at the moment, but shortly, I'm heading to pick up the big pit from one of our team members.
(during a little grease fire)
We've been so fortunate, as a community, to have so many people come to help after Harvey came through. We were extremely blessed at our home. Other than some roof leaks, and being flooded in (the neighborhood), we didn't suffer any damage. Our neighborhood was built between 3 and 5 feet higher than the surrounding areas, so others were not nearly as fortunate.
One of our neighbors has a nephew whose army platoon has been down helping with recovery efforts. He asked me to cook some briskets for them tomorrow. So, that's what we'll be doing! Holding a place for the inevitable (if you know me) pic heavy thread!
Feels good to say thanks, and it ought to be a good warm up for the Fort Bend County Fair in a couple of weeks!
