Well, I had some other things that could be smoked whilst waiting on the pork butt, and what could be more perfect for after church fellowship tomorrow than some smoked queso?

Ro-tel, Velveeta, Milk, seasoned ground beef, and 4 large jalapenos!

All, turned out pretty good. I couldn't get a taste test from others, as I ended up going home after church (not feeling well). They did like my pulled pork though (gave samples out at lunch)!

To each his own, m'Friend.

I like using real cheese, too, but Velveeta will always hold a special place in my heart. The milk is very minute in the larger scheme of things, and only added a little bit of moisture.

One thing I have learned and WILL ADMIT, is that Valveeter with sure hold up in a Crock Pot during a long days festivities much better than "the good stuff" :laughing7:

It's okay to be inclusive toward Velveeta, m'Friend. I only have it in moderation these days, but it's so very delicious on occasion.

I know, Josh, heck I was raised on Valveeter - - - in block form :banghead: Money was tight for Mom and Dad and refrigeration was "limited". :laughing7: :D

I'm with Josh on this one. None better for queso. It is also one of the 5 cheeses I use for my slap yo mama smoked mac and cheese.

Besides all the things I love about Velveeta, I really relish that my love for it sticks in the craw of the truly snooty hi-brows that hate it (and, I know that group does not include our beloved OUP). :)

Same thing with Miracle Whip.

I like it when folks understand the "to each his own" concept in things amoral/neutral.
