Pulled out the Mesquite & Peach

Postby woodenvisions » Tue Aug 29, 2017 8:07 pm

It's been a while since I've actually ( smoked ) anything on the Akorn, so tonight was some Bone in/Skin on Thighs over chunked Peach and Mesquite Chips about 225 for an hour and then up to 500 for 15 minutes, basted with SB Chipotle over some SB Hog Waller.

Good eats for sure   ImageImageImage

From the smallest Akorn comes a Great TREEat from the Poconos  :salut:

Thx bsooner,
I thought I might have forgotten how to light the lump lately being spoiled with all of the cooking gadgets in my reach, but all worked out.

Emm,
The Poconos are showing me our first cold snap as I'm looking at my breath outside tonight.
I love this time of year, just not what's on its way in a month or so..

You really mastered the colour, I'd be in like a robbers dog.

Lol, ^^^^^^^^

Thx Russ, it's amazing how the color changes as soon as you hit it with a sauce and glaze it.

Some beautiful bird there, WV!

It even got a bit chilly here this morning. I needed a hoody.

Woooeeeee, that's some fine looking vittles right there! That looks better than any chicken that I've ever cooked. :whiteflag: :whiteflag: Althought I've only been cooking for about 40 years.

Chris,Sailor,88 and TexM,

Appreciate the kindness ladies & gents. I love ( simple ) cooks, especially when I use the microwave at work the next day and stink up the Entire shop with Mesquite aromas :):):)
