"Brisket"

Postby T-monks » Mon Dec 10, 2018 7:47 pm

Last friday afternoon, my wife says she's in the mood for brisket.
No way can I make one in time for dinner, so I figured I'd try to smoke a roast instead.

Kept it simple: Salt + pepper, then threw it in the electric smoker until it hit 180. Took about 4-5 hours.

Came out pretty darn good. It wasn't nearly as moist as a brisket, but wasn't dry either. I sliced it pretty thin and the flavor was pretty great.
Happy wife.

Creativity at it's best. If it tasted as good as it looks it was mighty fine

Gorgeous color for an electric smoker! Looks like y'all had a good meal.

OK if I can be so brazen or disrespectful.... only because I have had lots of practice... I think both are upside down the grill should be on the gravitational side.
But something I have been wanting to do is a rotisserie roast some time. :salut:

I wish I could help you with the upside down thing :dont: ... I always have mine on my computer right side up, the iPhone is a problem child for getting orientation correct...
