I was looking for some information about this restaurant called Dreamland BBQ for a buddy who is visiting Alabama. He is going there for dinner this evening and I asked him for a critque of how their ribs are since they claim to be "one of the best rib joints in the state of Alabama".
Ingredients
1 (28 ounce) can tomato puree
1/3 cup yellow mustard
3 cups water
1 3/4-2 cups cider vinegar
1/4 dark corn syrup
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon paprika
3 teaspoons ground red pepper
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
Combine the tomato and mustard in a dutch oven.
Stir together until well mixed.
Add remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
Serve warm with smoked or grilled ribs.
