Coarse salt an fresh cracked pepper! Hard to argue with simplicity! I find myself using this more and more especially on beef! Maybe a bit of granulatec garlic in the mix if I feel like fancying it up...

I get all my spices from Penderys, the ingredient lists are a secret! But for a mere $5 you too can enjoy...

My own rubs usually consist of brown sugar, kosher salt and pepper, paprika,(smoked paprika is my fav), garlic powder, and various spices, depending on what I'm grilling. Thyme, basil, dill, sage, celery seed, rosemary, oregano, etc.
As far as prepared rubs; I really like DDogs original rub. My goal is to try everyone's rubs here on the forum this year!

pretty ditto here. I use coarse ground Korean red pepper flakes-the stuff used for kimchi pickling.
I like the sweet spices on pork(cinn, allspice, nutmeg, cardamom, etc.)
I like cumin, sage and bay leaf on beef.
