My own rubs usually consist of brown sugar, kosher salt and pepper, paprika,(smoked paprika is my fav), garlic powder, and various spices, depending on what I'm grilling. Thyme, basil, dill, sage, celery seed, rosemary, oregano, etc.
As far as prepared rubs; I really like DDogs original rub. My goal is to try everyone's rubs here on the forum this year!

pretty ditto here. I use coarse ground Korean red pepper flakes-the stuff used for kimchi pickling.
I like the sweet spices on pork(cinn,allspice,nutmeg,cardamom,etc.)
I like cumin,sage and bay leaf on beef.

black pepper salt and a seasoning from a little store in lousiana a old man gave me but will not tell me the ingredients plus some ceyeanne pepper in it i think some garlic onion powder basil and some other spice i have not quite figurie out yet i needed some help with ideas but nothing clicked yet i will keep trying
