Orange Fire.

Postby BluDawg » Sun Jun 29, 2014 3:56 pm

I am a Chili head and a Hot sauce addict as much as I like the burn I like some flavor in the front. I have been playing around with habenros because they are really fruity and I have came up with a darn Fine Hot sauce that is quick and easy.

Ingredients

1 small onion, chopped
4 garlic cloves, chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup *carrot, chopped
2 cups water
6 habanero peppers, seeds and stems removed
3 tablespoons lime juice
4 tablespoons white vinegar
salt, to taste

Directions

Sauté the onion and garlic in the oil until soft.
Add the carrots and water and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat and simmer until the carrots are soft.
Remove from the heat and transfer to a blender .
Add the habaneros, lime juice, vinegar, and salt and puree until smooth. Serve at room temperature or chilled.

*Note try repalcing 1/2 the carrot with an very ripe peach or mango for a change.
