Did ya ever try pineapple?? Hunts uses it in their Ketchup, I prefer it over the 57 stuff for that reason.
Never met a cow I didn't like with a little salt and pepper.

nope, I've only tried peaches so far...(im told) a lot of "apple-based" BBQ Sauce out there too...

Yeah, OJ base, frozen concentrate. A friend who worked at the Saltlick many years ago clued me in to that one. I do prefer a tomato based sweet/tangy/spicy sauce but I love Saltlick's sweet sauce too. They also make a spicy version that I don't find as appealing. Their sweet sauce is unique and complements their meat really well. It's sticky, tangy/sweet and mildly seasoned. Quite difficult in my experience to duplicate but have gotten some interesting sauces along the way. I stick to trying to perfect my tomato based recipe these days. :mrgreen:
