County Line, Austin

Postby DJ » Fri Apr 13, 2007 4:45 pm

When visiting my Brother in Austin, we make it a point to hit the County Line....Love the Beef Ribs and feel the rest of the menu is right up there...When last there, 2004, all you could eat, Ribs, Brisket and Sausage plus th fixins, $19.95....they lose money when I'm in town...DJ

DJ, next time you're down in Austin, there are a few really good places within 30 minutes of town, that'll knock your socks off. County Line is OK (and kind of pricey) compared to some of the other places.

My sister lives in Georgetown and we are planning on going to see her again soon.

Fill us in on your recommendations for some good Austin BBQ!

How is Stubbs? I sure like his sauces!

Thanks Tex...Looked at your site, Lots of good information....Ate at many of your top 5 picks back when I was a youngster...Hey, some time ago, I ran across a site which offerd a collection of pictures of various BBQ "Joints" in Texas all merged into one photo. The site was selling them and like a dummy, I did not bookmark the site..yep, cannot find it again. Know anything about it? Site? Anybody know? dj

Heading down to Austin for a couple of days on a work trip, should have some free time. On the drive down and whilst there.

Any good q on the trip down on or close (10min) off 35?

In Georgetown? Run out 79 a few miles to Taylor - Louis Muller's is the best BBQ in that part of the state, hands down.
Visit my Cooking Blog.

The Armada:
22.5" WSM
MES 30" shorty
42"x24" & 36"x16" stick burners
1966 CharBroil charcoal grill

Sam's 32-inch Stainless gas grill (it was free!)

THanks, sounds like it's on the to do list.

Nice leisurely drive down to a customer (AT&T) with some q on the way!

Hope the beer there is good...
