Aaron Franklin is one hard working man! Great article about what it takes to get his famous BBQ on the cutting boards each day.

Thanks for sharing this Chuck, I am saving and will share with friends who eat your queue and say - You need to open a resturant. This can actually show what it takes to consistently put out top notch queue.

excellent article. part of me wants to get more and bigger smokers, another part of me wonders if there's an easier way, and another part of me is screaming "stay in your backyard you fool!"

Re: Great read on Franklins
Great read! I get asked all the time why we don't open a restaurant. I tell em it cost too much for too little return and the hours are a deal breaker for me. That's why most raunts close within a year. Under capitilized and/or git tired of the hours needed. Hope Arron don't git burned out, excuse the pun!

Re: Great read on Franklins
I went once, was 2nd in line, once I sat down to eat Aaron sat next to me, was really thankful people wait in line like they do and wanted to make sure the quality was worth the wait. If you want to skip the line the first Monday of the month they take pre orders for the following month. 5lb min.
