Cele's Store, Manor TX

Postby Damon54 » Sat Apr 14, 2012 1:17 pm

Cele's actually argues that they are East of Manor, which is East of Austin.
Now this place has Character!! They claim 120 years of operation in one form or another. If you did not know that you would think a stiff breeze could blow it over.

Great Ribs, nice smokey brisket but they cut it in cubes?? Good sausage as well. I think if you order a platter they consider it an all you can eat affair cause they kept asking what we wanted more of.

Beers are $2.00 (can) $3 for longnecks.

I find them to be pretty good on the BBQ front, though it's been about a year since I was there last. The atmosphere when the band is playing is very nice, but that is usually every other weekend. They are only open for food for 1-2 nights a week. It is really in the middle of nowhere, east of Pflugerville. We used to eat there on Saturdays for lunch about 10-15yrs ago. It was awesome to get some Que so close to where I worked then. They shut down for a while(old man passed away, I think), but came back again recently.

Last I heard, you can still bring your own sides, and your own wine if you want. I would recommend you call ahead to verify seating. They are pretty small, and might be booked, especially if the band is playing.
