Goode BBQ, Houston TX

Goode BBQ & Company. We saw an adv. promoting their products, read the history wherein they started in ’77, with no experience and now have seven restaurants including Seafood and TexMex.

We’ve never tried their BBQ – how is it?

I must be the odd one here. I found the BBQ at Goode to be pretty darn average for a chain. If something like Franklin or John Mueller is 5 stars, then Goode is about 3 stars.

I wasn't that impressed with Goode Co BBQ... It was good, but there are other "chain" BBQ joints I have been to that were much better.... The only +++ I can give is that they have the best pies! During Thanksgiving the drive-thru they set up through their parking lot is packed! The line of cars can be 20 deep!

I'll give 'em one thing, if you can start with nothing cooking barbecue and build it into 7 restaurants, my hat's off to 'em.

Note I do not feel the same way about Dickies. I prefer not to suck my barbecue through a straw. The only reason I'd go there is for the free ice cream, just MHO.

I spent most of my life in Houston and I never found a really good BBQ joint.
Goode Company is below average for me.
