Well after hearing a lot of good things about this forum I finally decided to sign up. I'm also a member of a couple of other bbq forums so some of y'all may already know me.
I'm a native Texan by way of Houston and very proud of it. I've been cooking comps both sanctioned(TGCBA) and non sanctioned about 9 months now and been having a blast at it..The comradery shown at these events is what keeps me competing..
I do all my cooking on a Lone Star custom bbq pit by Tom and his dedicated 2 man crew. Its a 24"x48"main chamber with a 24'and 36" vertical that has provisions for 6 racks, it also has twin propane gas burners with dual propane tanks. I really like my compact unit but we're gonna add a roof and overhead storage next month so I'll hopefully be posting some before and after pics of it..
I've had a chance to meet some great folks since joining bbq forums and have also made some good friends at the local cook offs here in the Houston area. I hope to able to learn and contribute to this great forum..
Thanks for having me..
