Been smoking for over 30 years, typically Texas style. My preferred meats are pork back ribs and brisket. did some beef back ribs today and they came out great. Finding plate ribs up here is like finding lutefisk in Texas...
The wife and I get to Tejas at least once a year to Port A. Not the most Q friendly area, but we live with it. Visited Mac's Pit BBQ in Rockport, and I'm always looking for a good joint. When I get to Dallas a couple of times a year, I always make it a point to hit Lockhart's.
