Found this forum while looking for info on my Christmas gift to myself - an OCP Pecos from Academy. I’m graduating to a stick burner from a well used Masterbilt electric and smoking smaller briskets on my 22” Weber kettle.
I’m a fan of Meathead Goldwyn, Wyatt McSpadden, and Franklin, and I chase down good Q everywhere I go.
I live on a couple of acres west of Fort Worth with some seasoning oak and pecan so I’m looking forward to getting into some ‘real’ smoking.

Re: Howdy
Thanks for the welcome!
Two guys - I don’t get out north as much, so I’m not sure what’s out that way. My preference in Cowtown runs to Billy’s Oak Acres new spot on Camp Bowie West, Heim on Magnolia of course, and John Sanford’s BBQ on the Brazos down at the racetrack in Cresson.
But I’m always on the lookout.

Bobby: "No."

Re: Howdy
I'm not in Aledo proper, but the football team and associated school gets all my tax money. Been out here since it was little more than a wide spot in the farm road - one grain elevator, no stoplights, a two pump gas station, and a post office. Now it's trying to be Li'l Southlake.
