Howdy from Royce City area just started a new Hog Rotisserie.

Converting a new 275 Gallon Oil tank into a Hog Roaster/Rotisserie.
Not sure I can post pictures yet. Cut the top off, welded a rim around the top and bottom then attached some big hinges. Need some ides on the firebox and maybe some pointers on the skewer holder.

Regardless, going to enjoy sharing ideas with like minded people.

Very ambitious project. Sounds like it should turn out some great grub when finished. :D

We've got some fairly talented builders on the site, so I'm pretty sure you'll find some advice on finishing it. Looking forward to pics as the project progresses.

And oh yeah...

Sorry I was on business trip in Germany. I see my spell checker changed Royse to Royce. I plan on working on the spit over next couple of days. Want to look at a type of cage to hold the hog and or other meats close to the spit for balance.
