Newbie to the forum

Hi, from Illinois. I have a Longhorn by Oklahoma Joe. It's about 23 years old and I'm just starting to use it again. Being a newbie when I just bought it ,well you know what happened I put it away. Now I have sorta educated my self and ready to go again. I smoked a chicken and two slabs of ribs. So far, parts of the chicken came out great and the ribs fell off the bone.
I did some mods on the Longhorn baffle plates, two extra gauges and a ThermPro 08. Also, I made a charcoal basket which I think is too small. Dimensions 12x12 6" high.
The learning process has started again.
