I'm patiently waiting for a response hoping it hasn't sold. It's been for sale for 3 months so odds aren't in my favor but you never know!
That's a lot of snow for Virginia!

Well it was sold...
I'm wondering if this coming memorial weekend they will have them on sale? I'm gonna keep my eye out for a used smokey mountain smoker. The more I read about them the more I like them. I'm thinking the 18 inch one would be best.
So now that I have a smoker picked out, what add insult do you guys recommend? And specific thermometers? I'd like a wireless one I think. Any other goodies I should look into?

A good pair of gloves is a must. I use welding gloves from northern. Some of the guys use the nitrile gloves with cotton gloves underneath (been considering this myself)

A meat thermometer is a must as well. You don't have to go wireless but I like this one:

Maverick ET-733 Long Range Wireless Dual Probe BBQ Smoker Meat Thermometer Set - NEWEST VERSION With a Larger Display and added Features (Red) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KHAANNC/re ... XybG2GJ40F

I also have a thermapop from thermapen I picked up on sale for $25. It's great to just poke and check temp.

Yes! I couldn't believe it either.
I found it last night for sale on Facebook, sent the lady a message a soon as I saw it and barely slept waiting for the morning to come! All I could think was that someone snagged it up before me.
Today I hot cooked a chicken on it to see how it works. I didn't get any pics but I can tell we're gonna have a great relationship! Lol

Big Welcome, If you can get a hold of a descent Weber SM for that price, snag it. They are cooking machines, almost a set and forget it cook. I have never cooked on a electric smoker so I cannot give you any good feedback on one. Good luck on your purchase.
How bout some more beans Mr.Taggert? I'd say you've had enough!
