Hallo everybody! I'm a new bbq lover from Italy. The city where I live is Modena, famous for Ferrari cars Industry and balsamic vinegar
I grilled direct cooking for a lot of years because in Italy the art of smoking and indirect cooking is not practiced so much...
I started to smoke with my weber the last spring, I liked it a lot, so I'm searching more recipes and experience from real american pitmasters.
I found this forum on google searching "american bbq forum" and it seems serious and comprehensive.
I'd like to meet some new friends who could explain me some trick about smoking and grilling and I can help you if you want to know something about original italian cooking and Italy in generally.
I'm very sorry for my english... is not very well...I hope to improve it in fast
My passions are hunting, fishing, cooking and outdoor activities.
I'm very nice to meet you

Don't worry about your English. It is outstanding and much better than our Italian. We all speak BBQ
I have wondered what kind of smoking woods folks in Europe have access to for smoking. Oak, pecan, hickory, mesquite, apple, cherry, peach, maple and others are available and used on this side of the pond. Also have heard of folks using grape vine which you would likely have access to. Just curious.

thank you ... Here in Europe we have access to all types of wood did you write if you go to buy it in specialized shop, the most used are oak, apple and cherry....but I never heard anything about vine wood however there is a lot of vineyard in my country...
I don't know what is the situation in the rest of Europe but I think it's like italy...
