New- thinking of building my own smoker.

Postby BladeRunner » Sat May 14, 2016 12:35 am

Hey y'all,
I'm Joe from Round Rock. I'm still fairly new to smoking. My only smoker is a used brinkman style offset smoker from Craigslist.
Before I got back to the house with my new smoker, I stopped and got everything I needed for a brisket. Now 15 briskets in, I finally have an idea of what I'm doing.

Found the forum from a Bing search about building my smoker. So I'm hoping to glean some knowledge from y'all on how and what, maybe even where to get what,I need.

I'm west of 35 off 620. I have some friends toward the Diamond.

I've been browsing other topics to see what is already out there... I'm sure I'll have something soon for the group.

Thanks y'all!
I've gotten into a few of the forums and just started reading and seeing what people are doing.
Some of the other members are some serious fabricators. Lots of talent.
