Hey y'all,
Native Texan here. Started grilling in deep south texas (RGV) at the ripe age of 10, been doing it ever since. Got into smoking meat a few years ago because a buddy of mine owns a BBQ restaurant back home and started talking to me about how he does it.
I got me a Sear & Smoke ranch series smoker from HEB here for $200 (talked them down from $400 because the grates were "rusty", ha!) It's my first actual smoker. I've had webers, char-grills, kingsford, hand me downs ... all wood/charcoal. I've never owned a propane grill. That's what the stove's for :)
Anyway, just wanted to say hi. I found this sight looking for some beer marinated beef fajitas and if anyone had smoked them. Found what I needed but decided to join.
Here's a few pictures of last weekends ribs:
Cheers.
