Northern California Q Guy

Postby trp1fox » Sun Oct 28, 2007 11:25 am

Hello,

I'm a new member from Northern California. My interest in real bbq started in the 1970's while stationed for three years at Fort Hood. Since that time I have loved bbq.

I like to think that because my grandparents were born in Texas and I've had a subscription to Texas Monthly for 20 odd years that I'm at least a honorary Texan. (An honor I don't take lightly)

I'm looking forward to learning a lot from you.

I have an "original" New Braunfels Silver Smoker and my pride and joy is my original New Braunfels Bandera w/mods. I have the makings for a drum smoker in the backyard.

Glad to be here Papa! Recognize you from another forum. Since this is Q forum I wouldn't expect a lot of tri-tip talk. I will "grill" a tri-tip, but will Q a brisket.
