BW, I don't think it's senile. Must be what I have..........selective thinkin'
Here's what I came up with on the sausage exursion. I tried 'em today and they are tasting good.
The kind of good taste that makes your face scrunch up when you eat 'em. Tasted the same as the ones you can get at a neighborhood bar, or your favorite party store emporium. Came out great, thanks for your info

I'm intrigued by the sausages. Are those like the the ones that you get in the convenience stores. If so I sure hope you will share how to make them my DS1 would love for me to make some of those. That boy will spend his last 5 bucks on those.

BTW welcome

They're just like the ones you get at the store.
The recipe called for smoked beef sausage but I boiled some of the pork sausage I made and used that. It's pretty simple.
4 C water (I cut back on the water a bit)
2 Tbs. salt
4 C vinegar
10 drops red food coloring
Simmer over medium heat till salt is dissolved and pour over sausage.
Let them sit for a few days and enjoy.
