Thanks very much for the warm welcome! I'm a BBQ lover but haven't gotten into any serious Q cooking yet. I spent my younger days in west Texas, Odessa to be exact. There are several BBQ places there but I never thought of BBQ as anything special. It wasn't until I moved to Austin in the early 90s when someone said "ever been to Lockhart?" that I found out that theres BBQ and then theres good BBQ. Lately I've been looking around for some new places to try and googled up tons of good info. I first found TEX and DOC's web site and that led me to here. Anyway I've learned a quite a bit about good Q and how it's made and I really enjoy reading your posts. Hope I can come up with something to add.
