I have had this Cookbook for at least 30 yrs. or more and have used many many Recipes from it. However, I have never seen anything like this but I'm sure there are probably more throughout this Inch and a Half Thick treasure. Another thing is that is certain is, Mr. Lloyd E. Wright of Georgetown, Ohio must have been pretty sneaky or had some pull in what did and did not go into the Printing. At any rate, I stumbled across this while looking for a Pork Stew Recipe and it made me chuckle and smile.

that's funny.
Seriously, some of the best cookbooks we own, and I'm guessing Sherry has 20-40 of them, are the small East Texas Community cookbooks from churches, Schools, and VFD's. Real, old time recipes.
Thanks for posting Emm, too funny.

We have some church cookbooks from the German communities in Kansas.
Recipes by grandmas who never measure anything, they just DO IT and that is how they write the recipes. Love 'em.

Yes Sir, Gents, it seems that most of the better Recipes originated in the Common Household where Mom, Grandma and Auntie did their thing.

I bought a church fundraiser cookery book from Inverness in Scotland many years ago. I use it to try to make something different. There's also a few others like it as well.
