Actually, my wife does all of the shots except rabies. This saves a ton of $$$ Gets the shots from Tractor Supply for like $6.

Other than Rabies shots, we have spent about $400-$500 on Snickers and his sister when they were mauled. Other than that, we normally don't do the vet.

When Snickers got mauled, they wanted to do surgery on him. Price STARTED at $2500 and went up depending on how bad it was when they got in there... Needless tro say, Snickers never has had any surgery! :wink:

I'm almost embarrassed at how quickly I've become attached to this dog! He seems to be so intelligent, and when he gets to chewing on me, I gently say 'no bite' and give him one of his chew toys. He just looks at me like he is trying to understand and make me happy! He is probably getting sick of mama kisses all over his little head! :lol:

Laura, we did the same when Boo was a puppy. Have fun but no biting. We just love her!

we had a pit she was my babby we got her after her preveus owner kicked her down a flight of mettel stares and left her to die for chuwing her way out of a bahroom that she had been left in over a weekend with no food or water any way we took her and did the vet thing to fiend out she also had a broken hip from the fall she turned out to be the sweeetest smartestest most gentel dog anybody could ever whont I had her 4 almost 10 years and i swear that dog could read my miend she would know what i was thinking before i did she would carry on her back my cookatels 3 play with the cats 3 only ours no others was aloud sence a stray betup one of ours mothered the new pup a mastiff you can see him on our web page buster. All i can say on rasing pits is love lots and lots of love be gintal but firm let them know like anyother pet or kid you are the dominent one and love them
