My son just emailed this pic of a t-shirt from a BOA contest he is at. (Bands Over America). Too bad I didn't send him with enough money to buy it! :lol:

Ain't it the truth?!! And then they give you lip when you tell them to clean their room....
I literally came home last night and gave both older kids ALL my tips to go to this contest, which is at the new Lucas Oil Stadium, and dang soft drinks cost $5........... :evil:

Well, I've got one kiddo who started 6th grade band this year and a 5th grader looking to start... Guess I better start saving more pennies!

It ain't right to me when they take advantage of school aged kids and functions

Agreed. They don't care....I sent each child $10. I'll bet they weren't able to get barely a pretzel and drink with that...

It ain't the kids they are taking advantage of - it's the parents they are taking advantage of. They know where those kids are getting their money.

I love the shirt! My oldest wasn't interested in band but would like to learn to play guitar. My youngest is showing some interest but is too young yet. Regardless, they still cost a bunch of money!

Laura, if you find a way to get them to keep their rooms cleaned, please pass the secret on to me. We're fighting a losing battle on that front!
