It's been a very long time since I had any crabapple jelly so I don't remember but Mayhaw does remind me a bit of apple jelly made from good tart apples.

Of course things are better when they’re wild; plums, Mayhaw, or Berries. BUT, if you have a good produce market, you can buy fruit, cook it down, and make your own Jelly. I’ll be happy to help anyone that is interested; it’s not that hard to do
