Texas Beef Prices: Panhandle Fire Impacts

Informative article on the current and prospective impacts of the Smokehouse Creek fire. Maybe Texas needs to buy its own firebombers, we’ve seen many wildfires in N Texas and the high plains in recent years. Grassfires are really fast when the winds are high and forage is dry.

Thanks for posting that Sir Boots. An interesting read. East Texas still has a lot of producers although not on the scale of the Panhandle operations. Most of our producers are on 50-300 acres and sell at local auction barns. Prayers for those folks; maybe the Ag Department in Washington DC can offer assistance to these hard working Folks; might as well, they’re feeding and housing people that are in our country illegally

the state aircraft pooling board here in Austin has multiple types of aircraft, the addition of fire bombers might just be a good suggestion to one of the politicians.
