I put pre-emergent down over half acre of my yard this morning. No way I can water that in fully with sprinklers.
We started getting some short pop up showers this evening, but with almost 1/2” it really helped getting it watered in. Thank the Lord for this timing.
Most rain I’ve seen in 6-8 weeks.

Show off. We are leaving in the morning for our fall motorhome trip. I at least should get some relief later this week from the 100 degree days.

No, the majority of the first half of the trip will be up and down the I-35 corridor to the Midwest. Then over to Alabama and Mississippi. May end up down at Port Aransas in the 5th week.

Safe travels BH. We are going to spend a day or so in Oklahoma. Then we will go to the race track in Kansas City on Thursday. From there we will go north to Wisconsin to see some of the wife’s kin folk, then down into Iowa to visit some of mine. Then we’ll be back in Ft. Worth on the 21st for the race weekend. Then ease off to Alabama after that.

Every spring, when we get back from a trip it gets hot.
Every fall when we leave, it gets cooler.
Next year I’ll be retired and am gonna switch it up.
Amen to the cooler weather! And potential rainfall.
