Some bad storms rolled through Cypress Texas this afternoon. Took a couple of big trees down. Odd nasty storm, straight out of the north. Unfortunately, the big pine in the back of the yard that came down took out the power line from the pole to the house. The big tree close to the house, ended up on the house. Bummer

Dangit, that really shucks. It will be a hassle getting all that back to normal. Glad everyone is safe

Tree crew supposed to be here soon. My insurance gal put the claim in this morning. Still no power, but we are both safe. Stayed in the motorhome last night and have it running all the freezer/fridge. Wife is at the bank transferring money as we speak, this too shall pass.

This may have been the culprit, came right over us, this neighborhood looks like a bomb went off.

BH I I spent a portion of the morning trying to find a tree contractor. And I was out raking stuff and a guy showed up. Talked to him, got him to understand that if he wants my check to clear I want his work to be good.

Roofer, a friend of ours, came out and tarped the house this morning. Before tonight’s rain.

Tree crew will be back on Monday. Hope to hear from an insurance adjuster as well. Will be a pain to deal with, but there are folks back in this neighborhood in way worse shape than I am. So guess we’ll take a little luck once in awhile.
