Re: Stuffed Waffle Maker
Altho, I'm not a Strawberry Fan, as such, I decided to fix me a Strawberry stuffed waffle this morning. It was still good and came out very nicely.
Sailor Mam, I haven't ever oiled or greased the cooking surfaces and so far so good Do you use a spray like Pam ??

No, I haven't. The booklet says don't use a spray, but oil.
Looks gooood! Tomorrow we will be attempting chicken and waffles.

Re: Stuffed Waffle Maker
Change of plan...
Since the pre-cooked chicken we got turned out to be the poultry equivalent of particle board, we switched from chicken and waffles to apple and ham waffles. Soaked in butter and Lyle's Golden Syrup.
Enjoyed it immensely. Once again, thanks to OUP!

Re: Stuffed Waffle Maker
Yo Sailor Mam, we've discovered these Mixed Tropical Fruit Cups (4oz) that really work well on ONE waffle if you drain the liquid and watch your Batter levels when fixing. We use the HEB Generic Brand but it's the same as Dole and Walmart's since Y'all don't have an HEB there.

Re: Stuffed Waffle Maker
Thanks for the tip, Parts, Sir. We also need to try making FunFetti waffles. Should work with vanilla ice cream.

Re: Stuffed Waffle Maker
Can you say 'disaster?'
This is supposed to be simple; a funfetti cake done as a waffle. You make cake batter, pour in some sprinkles, mix, put in Wafflizer. I did that. As it wasn't being 'stuffed,' I added a little more batter.
Then stared in horrified disbelief as waffle-fetti batter began pouring from the appliance like a cross between molten lava and The Blob. And kept pouring. And pouring. Until almost the entire counter was covered in multicolor goo.
It was pried out in pieces and tasted okay with vanilla ice cream. The remaining batter went into lined muffin tins as it was meant to be. We jackhammered the remaining burnt-on pieces from machine. I hope the waffle maker recovers.
