Re: Easter Menu’s; whatcha cooking
US Foods has a store in OKC they call the Chef'store. Its open to the public and no membership required.
I bet they will have them. When smoking turkey for sandwiches, it's nice not to have to deal with the bone.
But like Rambo, I've found boneless breasts lacking - SO FAR. Look forward to trying the US Foods breasts.

I"ve found that "Bone-In" on most all Meats just have a better flavor, especially with chicken breasts, pork chops and farmer's cut/country style ribs. However, I am addicted to those center cut beef steaks which are boneless.

I feel the same way. If given a choice, I always choose a bone-in ribeye instead of boneless. I thought it was probably just in my head,
so I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one.

My Ancestors always said "Closer the Bone, Sweeter the Meat" - - - they also said it was "Larapin" instead of Good.

NOOOOOOOO!
Here's what we're planning:
We're changing our traditional menu. Only the 4 of us together this year. Usually my parents are with us but due to the situation we are encouraged to stay only with our household for a few weeks.
We usually cook a leg of lamb on the Easter eve but this year will be different. Start tomorrow with smoking a shoulder butt for pulled pork tacos.
Saturday will be grilled steaks.
On Sunday we will have grilled hamburgers with avocado mayonnaise and sides. Probably some bacon wrapped onion rings.
Monday it will be smoked babybacks, grilled sweet and spicy chicken wings and probably some leftover pulled pork.

I wasn’t asked a barbecue so I guess we’re going traditional ham. However for Saturday which is my birthday I’m tipping my hat to all my fellow Texas barbecue fellas and I will try to make you proud making meatsweats at the fire station which will include steak, chicken wings, sausage, cheesy toast, corn on the cob and some type of bean salad.

That is quite the spread. If you haven’t tried the Sucklebusters Sugar Daddy ham recipe, it’s really good
