Fastelavn and more

Today is fastelavn day. Don't have a English word for it.

Celebrated with homemade bun filled whipped cream and jam, icing sugar on top.

On top of that it's valentines day and mothers day here. Not good. All these days are celebrated with cakes and sweets. Combining g all three days at once makes you miss two days with cakes.

Good thing it's fat Tuesday the day after tomorrow.

Looks great - - - How come Tradition = Calories most of the time

At least here I think it's due to the historically simple diet in the old days. People usually lived on porridge. Festive days were the only few days a year they could afford some extra.
