We've found the air fryer excels at frozen food like fries, chicken strips, etc. Breading regular food and putting it in thee isn't as great. You have to spray the food with some cooking oil to get the breading to brown up in the air fryer. Chicken wings are excellent, but as a native of Western NY, the place that invented the chicken wing (we never, ever, ever called them Buffalo wings), I still feel they are best traditionally fried.
Baked potatoes are actually pretty good in the air fryer. You don't have to heat up the oven for one potato and you get a much crispier skin than in the microwave.
