Re: Laura
Thanks and it ?could? turn our direction but so far so good and we're praying for our friends to the East also.
The predicted Storm Surge of a possible 20' is very very scary for my Coastal Friends that ?may? plan on riding it out.
I'm also hoping and praying that Willie P. got his bunch out today because he's closer to the landfall predicted point than anyone I know.

Here in Houston, we dodged a bullet...darn lucky.
Wishing you the best!
We're on the West Side of Lake Conroe and, except for a light cool breeze from the NE this morning, you'd never know here was a Storm anywhere.
Praise the Lord - - - Yesterday morning while feeding the cats on the front porch I expected a much different morning today. Now I need to get in toudh with my Friends in Gonzales, Louisiana.

Re: Laura
It went East of us. We got about a half of inch of rain and only 25 or 30 mph wind. A few limbs down but that’s all. Very lucky. I had everything ready; every thing outside in the barn; horses in their stalls, 20 gallons of gas for the generator and I borrowed some heavy duty extension cords. All for naught but better safe than sorry. The worst thing is I don’t have any help and now loading all the outside furniture on the trailer and setting it up. Having to let the generator run out of gas because the fuel line is only 6” long. thanks all for checking on me.

Re: Laura
During Alicia, I had a friend that left his "CONCRETE" Bird Bath in the front yard (because it was too heavy to do any harm) and it got picked up by some wind gusts (probably Tornadic) and thrown thru his picture window into his living room where he and his wife sat watching TV.
Glad to hear the good report - - - - take it easy putting it all back - - - no rush OK ?

Re: Laura
Hope your buddy that goes to Talladega is ok. I rolled my package to next year. They gave to options, either go or roll it to next year. I just rolled mine, they didn’t offer a refund.

Re: Laura
I’m glad you’re all OK there,
The remnants of Laura should be passing by our neck of the woods tomorrow. We’re not expecting much more than some rain & thunderstorms from it.
