Valentines Day Challenge

Postby copkid » Sun Feb 11, 2007 12:10 pm

Hey Gator!
I think we should have a Valentines Day cooking challenge! Let's see who can put together the most romantic meal. Now, I'm not a big romantic, but I like to put together meals that I know my husband loves and enjoys, on many days other than Valentines Day. I would rather do that than get expensive cards or chocolates, and/or flowers!
Not only take pictures of the cooked/grilled food, but a romantic setting as well! If you do not have a significant other, treat yourself, or Mom, or a sister, etc.....
Anyway, just a thought!

Personally, I hate getting flowers and chocolates! :?
If you want to give my greenery, make sure it is alive so I can plant it later or enjoy inside for a long time, otherwise, it is a huge waste of money!
One of the best presents I ever got for Valentines day, was when hubby and I were dating. We lived about 40 minutes from each other, and I was a waitress at a gourmet restaurant. When I would leave in the evenings, I would find little presents in the front seat of my car!
One of my favorite gifts was coming out one evening and finding a Wok that I had wanted for a long time! How many girls can say they were thrilled to find a Wok in their front seat!!! 8)
Keep in mind this was about 18 years ago..................

Sounds like a good idea, in keeping with our theme - we need to tie it back to BBQ.

Any thoughts?

Most romantic BBQ dinner (we can streach and include grilling)?
Others?
