Fresh cut cherry wood I picked up yesterday

Postby Copasspupil » Sat Mar 28, 2020 8:37 am

For limbs that the previous owner cut into lengths or 6-8” long which where the limb size varies from 2-4” wide, how long do you let it sit before smoking?

If it was just cut I, and this is my opinion, wouldn’t use it for at least 3 months but I burn small split firewood in a stick burner . I keep mine dry and it’s great after about a year.

Here's some hickory I just split that is about 2 years old; hard as a Preacher's Pecker

Rambo I had wood like that when I was a teenager. Now it’s good to still remember it actually happened to me at one time.

You said you were going to a barn to show me some wood. I didn’t want to see a horse’s wood.

Lol; my old Grandson of Leo died a while back and I didn’t replace him; couldn’t have if I tried with all the Thoroughbred blood mixed in now
