Come on Rambo I know you e had some pretty bad ones.
Everyone thinks fire department food is always great but my two worst meals ever were from there.
Here’s mine all time worst
One of the guys slaughtered a pig and brought in. Large ham to eat. I was like perfect. I’ve never had free ham so it would be a treat. I overheard the designated cook state he cooked it for like 6 hours and I thought that seems like a long time to do that. When we sat down the ham was right in front and it looked great until I tasted it. I cut off my piece. I made a small piece to place in my mouth and shut the lips. It was the driest piece of meat and felt like every spare drop of liquid in my mouth was being summoned to help move the bite off my tongue. I drank water and took another piece of food if the plate to help it out. It it wouldn’t. I overheard my supervisor State it was delicious and I did a double take towards him. I ate salad the rest of the meal. Now 30 minutes rolls by and I noticed no one ate the ham. We began to clean up and someone says does anyone want the bone for there dog and I said sure. I was hungry the next t morning and super tired so I went in for a quick bite of something to threw it in the back if my mouth. I started driving and the ham got stuck in my throat and started to cough I coughed again and again and again but it didn’t move. It was stuck in my mouth. I was literally having chest pain due to the coughing and pulled over to finally get it out. When I got home, I drop the garbage bag with this bone is in and flip it over the fence for the dog and thought just how heavy this bone was. Ben was so excited to be getting a treat that he quickly got on his rear parts and I flipped the open side down so he could have it. Well it was the entire ham that hit the ground. Before I could do anything, his mouth was on it. I came back to see how he was doing but it was gone. I looked at my English lab and saw the pain he was in and asked him to walk over. More like waddled over and flipped on his side. I started to rub his belly and it was rocked hard. I kept him outside for three days thinking the ham had have passed by now and the forth evening I brought him inside. Huge mistake. It took him 4 days to get that stuff out of his system. The worst meal and events after ever for me.

Re: Worst meal or meat you had to eat and still regret having to swallow it??
So my story was from the first time I visited Japan. To preface the story, I was there two weeks for work and I had so, so many great dishes. I am usually pretty vanilla when it comes to new foods but I decided on the plane ride over that I was going all in and I would try everything people put in front of me for the trip.
The dish I had which I regretted swallowing was a tofu dish. Ordinarily, I don't seek out anything made of tofu, but honestly if you have the chance to visit Japan and try some of their preparations of it, I would recommend it. I had many which were very good.
The real problem with this dish was that they served it cold. Now I've heard tell that they should have served it warm. I think my experience would have been better if they had. Unfortunately I tried to swallow this cold lump of soy and I dang near tossed. It was bad. Like eating cold, wet cardboard.
Lessons learned from the trip was to always keep beer in your glass (they are very gracious hosts and they will always try to top off your glass, so this shouldn't be a problem). If you eat something that's not a home run, you can politely chew it, swallow, then wash it all down with some cold Asahi, or Sapporo.
I attached a few pics from the trip. The restaurant was sort of an American themed meat place in Osaka. I got a plate of wagyu to try and it was ridiculously good.

I guess my worst goof was getting drunk at the deer Lease and charring a beautiful Angus Brisket. We cut all the black stuff off and tried to eat the middle
