Cloudless Sky Mini-Road Trip
We decided to take a run up to "part" of the Texas Independence Trail since the Texas Wildflowers are showing their stuff around this time. Saw lots of beautiful Bluebonnets and Indian Paint Brushes along with some others that are just showing up. Also went by Old Baylor Park at Independence, Texas and Washington On The Brazos where the Original Delegates got together back in March 1836 and formed The Republic of Texas and it's succession from Mexico. Picked up some Picnic fixins and enjoyed the day.

Texas by far looking its best at this time of year. Disappointed I am missing it. Hopefully there will still be Bluebonnets out when I get home.

Looks like a beautiful day was certainly taken advantage of. Great photos, Em!! I bet you if those old oak trees in pic 10 could talk, they'd tell an amazing story!!

Thanks Y'all, it was a great day and much overdue and needed by the Wiffy.
I said that exact same thing when we passed an old 3 story home that seriously needed some TLC.

Pretty country down there. Always liked the area around Chapel Hill too.

10-4 - - In addition to the gorgeous Country, we always get Blue Bell at Brenham and Sausage at Chappell Hill

Here’s one for the boys in the Coastal Bend (and everybody else too). By a local band called Eleven Hundred Springs, named for the beer formerly known as Pearl (or “red dot” if you were fond of the squatty bottle version. Great little drinkin beer except it would deliver a nasty mean hangover if you exceeded say a 3 beer limit).

Love 1100 Springs. I’ve seen them all over the metroplex. From a pasture in Waxahachie to Adair’s in Deep Ellum to Hanks in Mckinney to Billy Bobs! Been a while, time to catch a show!
