Project - sharing the workloads

Postby Norway Joe » Sat Mar 23, 2019 2:10 pm

Spactrucker mentioned I was a lucky man in the bbq and decking thread. That was because my wife did the "mans" work. I didn't want to hijack that thread, but here is how we do it. I bbq and she does the projects. Fair, since she comes up with all the new projects.ImageImageImageImageImage

Looks like you got you a good thing going. Nothing wrong with that! My wife is pretty handy as well…mainly she just has a heck of a lot more patience than I do.

Personally I’m better at the deconstruction side of projects :)

Excellent! My wife is the same way. If it's a project she mentions, SHE wants to be the one doing it. I assist when she asks me to but, I normally stand out of the way. Lol!

I'll do my best. Of course I do my part in the projects and might have exaggerated a little to prove my point, but she's doing more than a fair share of the work.

My wife wanted a pool connected to the deck. I didn't want it because I know the job with a pool. I gave in and said ok, I can help build it but you must do the maintenance. That's the story about that picture.

Funny thing is that the pool is a simple on the ground pool. When we bought our house there was a halfway built pool in the ground. At that time we didn't want the pool so we filled the hole with 1400 cft of small balls of burned clay (don't know the American name).

Guess what. Now she wants the pool in the ground. Have to manually shovel out everything. It's her project. Looks like I am in to a serious amount of bbq'ing in the summer. :laughing7:

Joe, I can tell you have not been married long enough... a woman constantly changes her mind, always.
mine will ask me what I want for supper, then she will offer two or three things, I tell her what ever she wants to fix, then she offers something else, then she gets mad because I dont make a decision, all while I am doing something productive on the computer, next thing I know I have to apologize for not picking something for supper...
They constantly change their mind so we just endure and go with it, my point is to get the pool and the robo cleaner also learn how to backwash the filter and keep the chemicals in check. :laughing7: :laughing7:
