Re: 2019 Garden Thread
Good luck, WV!
We picked up some mater seedlings: Sungold, Celebrity, Black Prince, and Parks (a variety I never tried before).
The Poblano seeds never sprouted. Waaahhhh....

I believe, but not sure, the Sungold May be a cherry (grape) tomato. Celebrities are an awfully good tomato

Re: 2019 Garden Thread
No harvest yet here in Zone 7a...except lettuce and parsley. But beans are. Coming up, and tomatoes are blooming.
We could NOT find a Cubanelle or a Carmen or a Gypsy or any of the other sweet peppers that work well. So we tried a sweet banana...hope it works at all.
Rambo, those are some pretty taters! I'll take mine with just butter and lots of salt n peppa.

Been a long time but have you ever tried mulching your Taters with a biodegradable loose material like hay or ETC? I did it way back when and it helped with the rot during wet Spring planting. Worked especially well with the smaller new tater harvesting.
I had livestock and extra hay was not a problem either.

Nothing would have saved these ; many days standing in water
