Super Sunday Menu ?

Postby TwoGuysBBQ » Sat Feb 02, 2019 5:48 pm

So what’s everybody cooking tomorrow?
I’m starting the morning off with some homemade Barbacoa “BeefCheeks” tacos.
Then firing up the UDS for the 2nd time, going with a 10lb pork but that will serve by game time.
Lunch will be steakhouse brisket burgers on the Blackstone.
My beautiful wife isn’t crazy about pulled pork so Im going to throw some leg quarters and bacon wrapped shrimp on the Weber for her to eat duringkick off. ;)

My Mrs is in New Zealand right now. So no SB party for us this year. I have some squares at the neighborhood beer joint, so guess I’ll have what ever they are having. Hope she gets home soon, this last week or so has been hard on the liver.

Not true, i did tell you she was there. In a post you started then ignored. She was in Hanmer Springs over the weekend. Now she is down at mount cook at lake pukaki. Stunning scenery there for sure. She will be in Christchurch later in the week. We have a good friend that lives there.

Sounds like I should be going to TwoGuys house and making a day of it :)

My family combines Super Bowl Sunday with December / January birthdays so we always wind up at my Aunts house. They are grilling burgers, the wife is making a hatch Chile dip and I’m geikking some honey bbq wings to take along.

Yesterday was the first decent weekend weather in a while, so I raided all the on-sale meat my missus had been buying and freezing lately and got the smoker going. Most of it is going back to the freezer (3 tri-tips and a top round roast) in single meal sizes. But the 2 bone ribeye roast is in the oven finishing up for a late lunch today!

I also smoked some fresh brats, so I'll probably have one of those at gametime with snacks this evening.
Barbecue may not be the road to world peace, but it's a start.
