Beware of OLS Firewood 210-275-2748

I became aware of this forum because I had some firewood delivered by a guy who shorted me big time.

OLS Firewood olsfirewoodsales.webs.com He also posts on Craigslist prodigiously with the 210-275-2748 phone number. He has a Hirerush page as well

I had never ordered wood by the cord before calling this guy. I called him and ordered a 1/2 cord of wood. His Hirerush page quoted that as $150 but on the phone he said it was $225. I agreed to that price for a 1/2 cord of wood.

He showed up late, after dark, and dropped off the wood. Like a dumbass I paid him before checking out the delivered wood. When I checked out the wood it was very clear he had shorted me. I called him and he said that he had delivered a half cord. I then went and measured the wood and it came to 27 cubic feet. Well short of the 64 cubic feet I had ordered and paid for. So I texted him. No response. I texted him again the next day. Again, no response.

There was a previous post here from this guy viewtopic.php?t=29925 that he has since deleted I guess. But that post had a response from another guy who also got screwed.

I feel your pain brother, I got ripped off three times up here in Austin off Craigslist adverts, but the wood I bought was two or three years away from being seasoned, or so dry rotted as to be kindling wood.
Buy a moisture meter and never pay until you see and test the goods.
