Don't know if some of you have heard about this organization. It's a big international organization founded and funded by Gunhild Stordalen. Wife of one of Norway's richest men. She's made it her job to tell everybody to eat healthy and ecological sustainable.
They held a big event a couple a day ago releasing what they call the world diet. In short you should eat maximum 7 grams of bacon a day or 7 grams pork or lamb. The rest is more or less vegetables. All for your health and the planet. You can see in the picture below the recommended daily eating. This thing has got huge media coverage all over. I can't stop being amused about the different views Norwegian and foreign media takes. And probably politically colored too.
Here at home the diet is hailed as the salvage of the world and in many foreign media too. Fortunately a few decent media can't avoid pointing to the fact that she travels the world with private jet. Living a luxurious jetset life. Not in accordance with what she says all we other should do to save the environment.
For my part I will still enjoy my steak or bacon with good consciousness.

I'm with you spacetrucker. Always found it somewhat insulting for those in their Ivory Towers to look down on the general population and tell us how we should be living our lives. Kindly letting us know what to think and how to think it. If any of them had to do a honest day's work they'd have a mental breakdown.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that the "high and mighty" making those decrees don't eat like that themselves.
